Biomethane production

The use of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower and biomass energy is growing around the world. The use of renewable energy sources provides the opportunity to gain energy independence, feel security and mitigate dangerous climate change as a result of greenhouse gas emissions.

Biogas is considered to be probably one of the most effective sources of renewable energy as it originates from the anaerobic digestion (oxygen-free environment) of organic waste and raw materials.

Waste arising from livestock, poultry and agriculture is the main raw material for biogas production. Raw materials also include urban municipal waste, sludge of municipal sewage treatment plants and waste from food processing plants.

Biodegradable waste is transported by conveyors and pumps to the bioreactor to produce biogas. Electric and/or thermal energy is produced during gas combustion process in the internal combustion engine. This energy can be used for the needs of business companies, farms and personal purposes or supplied to electric or thermal networks. Gas converted into biomethane through the process of purification can be used as fuel for transport or supplied to natural gas grid. The processed biomass can also serve as high-quality fertilizer.

Our company offers one of three possible solutions based on your needs for energy and raw.

Biomethane production requires removal of carbon dioxide and other gases and purification of methane gas until it reaches the quality of natural gas.

Several types of technologies are generally used in this process, which are as follows: adsorption of gas mixture in filters and scrubbers or the use of membrane filters. Methane gas in biomethane is concentrated to 97 percent and can be supplied to a natural gas network or liquefied and used as fuel for transport.

  • Concentration of biomethane to 97 percent.
  • The system is launched and reaches full capacity in several minutes.
  • Compact system.
  • Fully automated system.
  • Equipment durability.
  • Low maintenance costs.
  • Warranty and post-warranty service.

Benefits of biogas for the consumer:

  • Decentralized and effective energy production.
  • Heat and energy supply.
  • Sale of surplus heat or electricity.
  • Substrate that remains after biogas production is a perfect organic fertilizer.
  • Significantly reduced odour of biological waste.

Environmental benefit of biogas:

  • Waste treatment of biodegradable waste in the bioreactor permits to significantly reduce harmful effect of degassed biomass on the environment.
  • Greenhouse effect reduction. Methane generated during the process of biodegradable waste treatment in the bioreactor is not emitted to the atmosphere and is used for energy production.
  • The use of degassed manure or other biodegradable waste in fertilization helps to improve environmental and sanitary condition.
  • The risk of contamination of groundwater with nitrates is reduced, because plants absorb a larger amount of nitrogenous nutrients from degassed manure faster.
